GRS Earth Solutions
Alex Collman has worked within the GRS Group since 2004, beginning his career in internal sales then covering various commercial roles until 2013 when he moved to develop the waste business.
Initially focussing on the challenge of developing a robust compliance structure within a fast-moving trading business, he then developed and improved the business’ technical capabilities, allowing it to offer solutions for the more complex enquiries. With the business now involved in the movement of around 2million tonnes of waste annually Alex is now working on the growth of a soil sampling and advisory service to further assist the business and its customers to complete more targeted and specific analysis with the vision of reducing waste to landfill, improving compliance procedures and reducing costs for waste removal.
Being completely self-taught Alex has first-hand experience in dealing with the challenges of understanding and adhering to waste regulation within the fast-moving C&D sector.
Muck away! The classification and removal of waste soils
Clients, main contractors, groundworkers and hauliers all have a duty of care to ensure that their construction and demolition waste is classified and disposed of correctly, yet many are still falling short of their legislative requirements. This seminar dispels some common “muck away” myths and discusses how doing things right can reduce risk and cost.
