Danny Hope is a Specialist in Land Condition with over 15 years’ experience of working in brownfield redevelopment. Danny leads Hydrock’s land quality services from Manchester. He has had lead roles on some of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects, including leading the geo-environmental input into Europe''s largest waste contract in Greater Manchester and acting as lead contamination specialist on the Mersey Gateway Project for the design consortium. Danny has built strong relationships with developers, local authorities, contractors and regulatory bodies across the region and has worked on projects across a wide range of different sectors including: road, rail, airports, waste, energy, nuclear, oil and gas, residential, commercial and industrial. Danny is an assessor for the SiLC accreditation scheme; is on the CIWEM Contaminated Land Network Steering Group; and is a ‘Qualified Person’ for the review of Materials Management Plans developed in accordance with the Definition of Waste Code of Practice.

Unlocking Value In Brownfield Land

Danny will provide a short seminar on a topic relating to brownfield development and Hydrock’s work in this area, such as land value and unlocking it’s potential, materials management and how this needs to be well thought out to avoid later problems, asbestos in soils and how this needn’t be major headache for developers or a consultants view on the proposed quality mark scheme for land contamination.
