3D Scanning of Hazardous Environments for Training, Risk Assessments & Collaboration

As 3D laser scanning and building information modelling (BIM) becomes more established, the use of 3D scanning technology has far wider benefits than just building surveys and facility management. Innovative uses include capturing live and hazardous environments for use in classroom training and eLearning, safety and hazard risk assessments and project team collaboration. NATAS ASBESTOS:NUCLEAR Ltd. have been developing this concept within the nuclear decommissioning and asbestos management sectors and have undertaken many ground breaking projects. This session takes a look at some of the outputs and offers an insight to where this may all lead.
