Professor Carolyn Roberts is a Specialist at the UK’s Knowledge Transfer Network, linking business and universities to promote research and innovation in environmental technologies. Professor Roberts’ main interests lie in minimising direct impacts of development activity on the water environment. She is also the first Environment Professor at Gresham College, London, and an occasional broadcaster. Prior to her KTN role, she directed the Environmental Sustainability Knowledge Transfer Network at Oxford University.
Innovation, Collaboration and Contamination: What role for new technologies, and how can we make faster progress?
The seminar will explore the role of technological innovation in addressing the environmental challenges found in developed and developing areas, including the remediation of contaminated land and waters, and review the current UK government support for collaborative research and development. It will be of interest to a wide range of stakeholders, including companies, research organisations and local authorities.
