Stephen Platkiw

As the Manager of the Asbestos Testing and Consultancy (ATaC) division of ARCA, Stephen Platkiw is a member of the Asbestos Liaison Group (ALG) and also sits on the Asbestos in Schools Group, Joint Union Asbestos Committee and the UKAS Technical and Advisory Committee.
Steve started his career as an analytical chemist and has since spent 30 years in the asbestos industry. As a certified competent person in asbestos Steve was a director of an asbestos analytical and surveying company, before joining the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA) in 2007 and becoming ATaC Manager in 2012.
Asbestos Management - Communication between all Parties
The law requires clients to make suitable arrangements for managing a project, and maintain and review these arrangements throughout the project, so managing the health and safety risks from asbestos.
This seminar will look at CAR 2012 and CDM 2015, and the roles of the client, analyst and removal contractor, in relation to effective communications to ensure the responsibilities of all parties are met.
