Dr. Darren Beriro
British Geological Survey (BGS)
Darren is an innovative geoscientist specialising in soil geochemistry, numerical modelling and spatial decision support tools. Prior to joining BGS, Darren gained 10 years of experience in risk-based land contamination and environmental management in the private sector.
Darren presently works widely across BGS and with external organisations to underpin the redevelopment of brownfield sites, including human exposure to potentially harmful substances in soils.

The British Geological Survey (a NERC Research Centre) produces geoscience to support the redevelopment of brownfield sites in the UK.
